They cancel school here for the tiniest amount of snow. So, when there was a big storm in the forecast for this afternoon, Ethan woke up asking, "Why haven't they canceled school?"
Well, they should have. Or at least had an early-out day.
Gratefully, MY kids got home safe and sound and only about five minutes later than usual. Unfortunately, our friends' kids didn't get home until 5:30pm! The buses couldn't get through. The roads were (are) horrendous!
Now I know why they cancel school here for the tiniest amount of snow. Those poor kids.

Great picture! I have decided that I cannot live any further North than Dallas. It is too cold and the weather is too unpredictable. Enjoy the beautiful snow though.
That's funny and sad for the kids. I guess they don't have the equipment we have in our city. My neighbors get agitated if the snowplow doesn't come right away once the storm begins. We had our first snowday in 25 years the day before Christmas break, it took like 2 feet of snow to get them to close school.
